The Education Administration is responsible for, among other things, preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, and adapted upper secondary school. The responsibility also includes student welfare, mother tongue instruction, school transportation, and school meals. In the countryside just outside Trelleborg are our units Smygeskolan, Klagstorps School, Smygehamn Preschool, and Klagstorp Preschool. The area is led by a principal together with two assistant principals, a head chef, and an administrative manager. With high teacher qualifications, we help all children and students reach their full potential. Smygeskolan is located in the village of Smygehamn, just east of Smygehuk, Sweden's southernmost point. The school is an F-6 school with an attached after-school program. The school has approximately 220 students. The school actively works to develop each student according to their needs and abilities. Klagstorps School F-6 is the small school with great joy. The school has approximately 130 students. The school has students from preschool class through grade 6. The school has been working with the Green Flag program for several years and has a conscious approach to our environment and the importance of daily exercise. As a crafts teacher, you will teach textile crafts at both Smyge and Klagstorp schools. As a teacher, you work closely with your colleagues, the student welfare team, and other school staff. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on educational work based on the school's governing documents and the student's needs. You create good cooperation with guardians and actively participate in development work at the school. We actively work for good communication between school and home and regularly inform our students and guardians. You see it as a natural part of your teaching to use digital tools, and you strive to develop your own and above all the students' digital competence in your daily work. Since both you and the students have computers/Chromebooks and there is a projector in each classroom, there are opportunities to use modern pedagogy where technology supports student learning. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach textile crafts. For you to thrive and function in the role of crafts teacher, it is of utmost importance that you yourself are secure, stable, and have self-insight. Furthermore, you are independent, enterprising, and goal-oriented. You see collegial learning as a prerequisite for student development and look forward to working together as a team, toward common goals and with focus on the students. We also want you to be accustomed to using digital tools. As a person, you are development-oriented and have good communication skills. You have great engagement for student learning and co-creation and are open to new thinking. You see the bigger picture and thrive in an environment that places high demands on flexibility and social competence.
