Today, we own and manage approximately 1,100 apartments and about 60 commercial spaces across roughly 30 residential areas throughout Säter Municipality. We are moving toward an exciting future with plans for new residential construction. Säterbostäder and Säter Municipality work closely together, which also means we perform work on municipal properties such as schools, preschools, and special care facilities. Due to retirement, we now need to fill a position on our team with a Building Systems Technician. Responsibilities As a Building Systems Technician with us, you will have operational system responsibility for a portion of our property portfolio. This means that you not only address problems as they arise, but you also have overall responsibility for ensuring that our technical systems function stably, efficiently, and sustainably over the long term. In this role, you will work to ensure the functionality of building technical systems in areas such as plumbing, ventilation, electrical, and control systems. You will conduct qualified troubleshooting and functionality checks, identify deviations, and take corrective actions to prevent operational disruptions. The work also includes active preventive maintenance and continuous optimization of operations, where you contribute to energy efficiency and more sustainable property management. You have the ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and technical documentation, and you work systematically with documenting, following up, and analyzing completed actions in our systems. The role also involves ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and safety requirements. You are thus an important part of translating technical operations into a functioning whole where economy, quality, and customer benefit are interconnected. Your background We are looking for someone with building systems technical education or equivalent experience who has worked several years with operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in properties. You have good technical knowledge in several areas such as plumbing, heating and cooling, ventilation, electrical, or control systems, preferably with experience in building automation. You are accustomed to working independently with troubleshooting and making your own assessments of corrective measures, while also having good experience working with digital systems for work orders, case management, and documentation. You are fluent in Swedish in both speech and writing and hold a Class B driver's license. It is advantageous if you have experience with building automation and system optimization, knowledge of energy and resource-efficient operations, relevant certificates such as Hot Work, lift, or fall protection, and a good understanding of building management regulations. Experience working with technical drawings and system documentation is also considered an advantage.
