Summer Substitute Worker for Social Services

Pajala Municipality is a large (in area) small municipality located in the northern lights and midnight sun region – Torne Valley, in eastern Norrbotten. Day and night, year-round, we work in the service of society on behalf of the municipality's residents. Do you also want to make a difference? Then you should work with us! We are seeking summer substitutes for support & care for the summer of 2026. If you work at least 75% (night 65%) for eight weeks during weeks 25-32, you will receive a SUMMER BONUS of 20,000 kr (the bonus is taxable, absences may affect the bonus). If you were born in 1958 or earlier, you will receive 25% higher hourly pay during weeks 25-32. Employees in the support & care sector receive double on-call compensation. 50 position(s). WORK TASKS • As a summer substitute, you have a supporting role in developing work based on each user's needs for increased participation and independence. • The work involves helping/supporting people in their daily lives. • This can include care, participating in daily activities and shopping, performing household chores, assisting with personal hygiene, cleaning, leisure activities and social interaction, etc. • Documentation in journal systems is included as well as performing medical tasks on delegation. • To work in some activities, you will need to complete training in transfer techniques. • You work in the municipality's residential facilities or service housing. • As a personal assistant or within home care, you work at the user's home. • In some roles, solo work and 24-hour shifts may occur. QUALIFICATIONS • It is important that you have an interest in working with people and can put the user's needs at the center. • It is meritorious if you have some care education or experience working with care. • We place great emphasis on personal suitability. It is important that you have a positive attitude toward your work and that you enjoy meeting people. • It is good if you are flexible, responsive and find it easy to cooperate. • Work as a substitute requires initiative and responsibility. • To be considered for employment, you must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and good language comprehension. • It is also important that you receive approved medication delegation. • For work within home care, a B driver's license is required.
