All-In Physiotherapist at Norrskenet Health Center
At Norrskenet, we care about the little things – the closeness we share as a team and the opportunity to grow and have fun together. Here you'll be an all-in physiotherapist and work with your full range of expertise. All of this in a workplace characterized by drive, commitment, and compassion. With us, there are no narrow boundaries or pre-made boxes to fit into. You'll meet acute cases ranging from the 5-year-old who jumped on the trampoline with dad, to the 17-year-old freestyle skier who took a chance but landed wrong, to the 55-year-old nursing assistant who crashed their snowmobile. You'll also meet the 10-year-old with chronic pain, the 45-year-old parent of four dealing with persistent stress issues, and the 93-year-old who just wants to pick lingonberries this summer. Our next step forward is to strengthen our team with an additional physiotherapist and continue developing the physiotherapist as the first point of contact for even more patients. About Us We strive to continuously develop and become the best version of Norrskenet. We proudly talk about our family feeling and fantastic team, but what we're most proud of is that we're here, in the middle of sparsely populated areas, making a real difference every day for our nearly 7,000 registered patients. Norrskenet Health Center is a complete health center based in Vittangi with branches in Kiruna, Svappavaara, and Karesuando. Our largest workplace is in Kiruna, where doctors, nurses/nursing assistants, rehabilitation specialists/paramedics, maternal and child health staff, and administrative personnel work closely together. As often the patient's first contact regardless of their concern, we encounter a broad clinical range. We continuously develop our working methods with a focus on quality, patient safety, and accessibility. Even though distances are large, we always want to be close – digital working methods are therefore a natural part of our daily work. Who You Are / Qualifications You're a licensed physiotherapist who truly loves your profession. Perhaps you're not from Kiruna but curious to try something completely new – and maybe even open to staying as so many of us have? Or perhaps you're deeply rooted in the city but want to see a different workplace? You're driven by a desire to make a difference both for the patient in front of you and for the organization as a whole. You see the value of working together with others, recognize that knowledge is meant to be shared, and are open to others' perspectives. Commitment and responsibility are essential, and you love a good laugh during lunch breaks. For us, attitude is what matters most – we build competence together! What We Offer You You'll become an important part of a small team with short decision-making paths, great commitment, and the opportunity to influence both work methods and future development. You'll get meaningful and varied work with great responsibility and the use of your full expertise, but most importantly, you'll get fantastic colleagues and patients, and countless warm encounters to cherish! Plus, a place that few are lucky enough to call home. We also offer 5,000 kr in wellness benefits. Job Duties The work consists of clinic visits, phone/digital contact, and group activities, including assessment, treatment, follow-up, and acute interventions in the clinic, in our rehabilitation area, or at nearby gyms. We work closely with other professions within and to some extent outside of Norrskenet, and we try to develop smooth solutions for the best possible care. You'll primarily work in Kiruna, with regular shifts in Vittangi. If you live in Kiruna, commuting occurs during work time, by bus or company car. Kiruna There's a promotional film for Kiruna that starts with "Kiruna – it's not the end of the world – it's way beyond." With a mix of humor and actual reality, Kiruna is not in between. Kiruna is high up in space and far down underground, endless light and magical darkness, impressive mountain slopes and vast views, challenging conditions and energizing encounters and nature. Grand, quiet, and embracing, Kiruna offers a life without commute time with mountains around the corner and something you won't find anywhere else! This position is a 6-month temporary contract with a strong possibility of extension/transition to permanent employment. Recruitment begins in week 31. Norrskenet Health Center is part of Praktikertjänst. About Praktikertjänst Praktikertjänst was founded over 65 years ago and is one of Sweden's largest healthcare providers. We have 750 clinics, from Vittangi in the north to Ystad in the south, operated by practitioners who collectively own all of Praktikertjänst. We're convinced that this creates commitment, participation, focus on quality, continuity, and professional development – and is an important reason why we consistently rank at the top for both satisfied patients and employees. With us, you'll get a secure employment with excellent benefits and great opportunities for both personal and professional development.
