Enrollment Coordinator

We are looking for you to contribute to Sweden's internal and external security in the role of enrollment coordinator at the unit for enrollment and admission. Are you the one we are looking for? Contaminated Areas Specialist, Temporary Position

The County Administration Board is an important coordinating link between the state, region, municipalities, business, and individuals. The County Administration Board works to ensure that national goals are implemented in the region, while also taking regional conditions and circumstances into account. This includes balancing important societal interests and resolving conflicting goals. The County Administration Board has a broad and multifaceted mandate covering both tasks and subject areas. The Agency's main tasks include permit review, supervision, knowledge dissemination, and coordination within many societal areas. We employ approximately 230 people, and our director is the County Governor. Description The position is located in the Environmental Protection unit within the Contaminated Land function. Environmental Protection has a total of 23 people working on permits and supervision according to the Environmental Code regarding environmentally hazardous activities, contaminated areas, and nature conservation. We also provide supervision guidance to municipalities in the county. Work Tasks You will work with supervision of contaminated areas at ongoing and closed facilities where the County Administration Board is the supervising authority. Supervision work includes communication with affected operators and property owners, drafting orders, reviewing sampling plans and investigation reports, and risk classification of sites. The function's work tasks also include managing grants for investigations and remediation measures. You will also contribute your expertise on contaminated areas to matters and projects handled by other functions and units at the County Administration Board. The work is independent but also teamwork with consultations on direction, prioritization, and assessments within the group. Work tasks can to some extent be tailored based on your previous experience, expertise, and areas of interest. Qualifications We are looking for you with a technical or natural science university/college degree with a focus on environment, chemistry, geology, hydrogeology, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Knowledge of the Environmental Code's provisions on permits and supervision is a prerequisite for the work. It is advantageous if you have worked according to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's Methodology for Inventory of Contaminated Areas (MIFO). It is also advantageous if you have experience with risk classification of sediment and PFAS-contaminated areas. We would like to see experience with permit or supervision matters, and particularly related to contaminated areas. You have good communication skills and are easy to collaborate with, as the position has many internal and external contact points. We are looking for someone who is organized and good at planning and prioritizing in your work. You can express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, and maintain good and professional conduct. A category B driving license is required.
