We are now seeking a teacher for our Student/Teaching Assistant program, which is conducted digitally and in a general course on-site in Hjo. The subject competencies we are particularly seeking are social studies and history, as well as experience with various forms of support teaching in schools at different levels. Job Responsibilities You will plan and teach instruction in the general course at Hjo Folk High School in the thematic studies being conducted, as well as in the Student/Teaching Assistant program. The instruction is based on the individual and group's needs, level, and wishes. Therefore, this position requires creativity and the ability to adapt teaching methods and content. As a teacher at the folk high school, you are part of the school's overall operations and have the opportunity to contribute to the school's collective activities and development with your unique experiences and competencies. Qualifications We are seeking someone who holds a folk high school teacher certificate with adequate subject competency, or a teacher certificate at the secondary level or equivalent. Furthermore, you are flexible, innovative, and have good collaboration skills and are skilled at planning and organizing your work. You are an engaged and motivating educator and role model. If you have experience in managing or leading projects, that is a merit. Experience with or competency in special education is also a merit. We place great importance on your personal qualities. Terms This is a permanent position with a start date of August 10, 2026, or by agreement. The position is full-time.
