This is where the Finance Office, Personnel Office, Municipal Leadership Office, and Culture and Recreation Unit are located. The Finance Office is a service organization for elected officials, the municipality's administrative units, municipal companies, and the public on all matters concerning municipal finances. Description We are seeking an Economist/Controller for the Finance Office! The Finance Office in Forshaga Municipality consists of a procurement center and an economics unit. In the economics unit, six economists/controllers and three economics assistants work together. We support the municipality's operations and municipal companies with qualified economic expertise and contribute to long-term financial sustainability. As an Economist/Controller with us, you will provide economic support to the Children's and Education Administration. The assignment consists of providing operations with qualified economic support regarding budget, accounting, monitoring, and analysis, among other things. In this role, you will work closely with the operations and other economic functions at the Finance Office. Job Duties As an Economist/Controller at the Finance Office, your assignment is to: Provide qualified economic support to the operations you assist Support operations in ongoing economic and budget work Conduct internal economic training Perform economic presentations in committees Other relevant economic tasks. Qualifications We are seeking someone with a university or college degree in economics with a focus on accounting. Experience with the Raindance accounting system and work in public sector operations is a merit. To succeed in this role, you are analytical and have the ability to handle complex issues. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility for your assignments, and drive your work forward independently. You have good collaboration skills and communicate in a clear and pedagogical manner. You build trusting relationships and can adapt economic messages to your audience and situation. We value that you have a holistic perspective, contribute to common goals, and prioritize the operation's best interests. As a person, you are calm and stable even during periods of high pace and changed circumstances. We would like to see that you have a strong interest in economics and economic management in public sector operations.
