We are now seeking a middle school teacher for Katarinaskolan with broad qualifications, core subjects being math, Swedish, and English. At Katarinaskolan, we have subject teachers and mentors instead of traditional classes, which allows our subject teachers to deepen and develop their instruction. In each grade level, 4-6 educators work, and there is access to specialist teachers in both mathematics and Swedish. Work teams and subject teams form the foundation of our development work. We believe that close collaboration among teachers leads to lifelong learning for educators and raises students' knowledge development far higher than if each teacher works independently. You will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating instruction in accordance with the curriculum's goals and other governing documents. The work takes place in close cooperation with the grade level work team, where all educators share joint responsibility for all students in the grade. You will also be responsible for collaborating with students, guardians, and other relevant parties to create a safe and developmental environment for students. The position also includes a mentoring role where the task is to follow students' school progress with respect to attendance, academic results, well-being and satisfaction, and to ensure that students' specific needs are met.
