What does the job as a cook involve for us?
As a cook at Hedegården, you are responsible for all meal preparation for the elderly at our care home. You work according to our meal concept "Smaklig måltid" where the focus is on Swedish home cooking and well-known classics as well as new exciting flavors.
Examples of work tasks
Preparation and serving (breakfast, lunch, dinner & snacks)
Preparation of special diets
Baking of bread & pastries
Procurement & menu planning
Cleaning & dishwashing according to applicable food hygiene procedures
About Hedegården Elderly Care Home
Hedegården is beautifully located at the forest edge in Stenkullen, Lerum. The facility has exciting architecture with large windows that create a very bright and airy atmosphere. There are good transportation options, both by bus and train, as well as free parking outside the care home.
Hedegården has 56 apartments distributed across six units. We offer apartments for somatic care and dementia care.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for you with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We would like you to enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. And that you find it easy to collaborate with others and have a good ability to adapt your communication based on the recipient.
We are looking for you who have training in restaurant/institutional kitchen or corresponding work experience
It is meritorious if you have previous experience as a cook in elderly care.
It is a requirement that you have good knowledge of Swedish language, both spoken and written.

We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis and the position may be filled before the final application deadline. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
Before a possible employment, you must be able to present an extract from the criminal records register. You also need to be able to demonstrate that you have the right to work in Sweden by providing proof that you have citizenship within the EU/EEA or a valid work permit.
