Senior Test Engineer – Electric Mobility Testing

We are now seeking a senior test engineer with a focus on electric drive systems for our facility in Nykvarn. The role suits you if you want to work close to the test environment and actual testing, while using your experience to ensure high quality, develop working methods, and contribute with technical expertise.

SEEL (Swedish Electric Transport Laboratory) is a national test and research center for electric mobility and a neutral meeting place where industry, academia, and research collaborate. We operate modern test facilities in Gothenburg, Nykvarn, and Borås, with testing capacity ranging from research-oriented development to industrial verification.
Your Role – System Understanding, Test-Focused Responsibility, and Clear Customer Communication
As a senior test engineer at SEEL, you work operationally in the test environment and have a central role in conducting testing, primarily of electric motors but also other testing such as battery testing. The role also includes developing and adapting scripts for testing, for example, for automating test sequences, controlling test rigs, and collecting and managing measurement data. You are responsible for ensuring that tests are conducted correctly, safely, and with high measurement quality, and you contribute to further developing test methodology and working methods.
Examples of Work Tasks
• Ongoing technical dialogue and support in testing work together with the customer
• Plan, conduct, and follow up tests in complex test environments with a focus on data quality and safety
• Work with and develop test rigs, measurement systems, and automation solutions
• Ensure high quality, repeatability, and traceability in measurement data
• Troubleshooting and improvement of test setups and test environments
• Analysis, documentation, and technical reporting of test results
• Collaboration in cross-functional teams with customer, RISE, and within SEEL

Who You Are
You are an experienced test engineer with broad technical knowledge and a clear practical approach. You thrive in an environment where you work close to the equipment and tests, take responsibility for implementation, and have an eye for detail, safety, and quality. At the same time, you enjoy working in a small, engaged group with close collaboration, where knowledge is shared and collective responsibility is taken for maintaining high testing quality.
Requirements:
• Engineering degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with relevant work experience, or upper secondary education combined with many years of experience in similar work.
• Good understanding of measurement technology, test setups, and electrical safety
• Experience working in advanced test or laboratory environments
• Ability to work in a structured, independent, and team-based manner
• B-class driver's license
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written
Merits:
