Residential Support Worker at Rudsnäs Group Home

One of our staff members is moving to another position, and we are now looking for a replacement. Rudsnäs group home is located in Ölme, approximately 12 kilometers outside Kristinehamn city center and is surrounded by forest and nature. The group home is part of the functional support service area, which falls under the care and social services department. Within functional support, we work with individuals who have functional variations. Functional support operates seven group homes and one service housing facility for individuals with functional disabilities under the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Disabilities). The department's core activities include providing care, support, and rehabilitation for the elderly, helping people to live as independently as possible, and providing support and services to people with functional disabilities. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Your role as a residential support worker will be to work motivatingly and supportively with the individual so that they can manage their everyday life as independently as possible. The work is based on the individual's support plan with individual goals and sub-goals. Great emphasis is placed on individual development based on the individual's own circumstances. Social documentation and collaboration with various partners will be part of your work. Our group home has a daily activity program to provide stimulation, development, meaning, and community. As we have a barn with both chickens and rabbits, work with animals may occur. The position involves being scheduled for day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekend work. Some resource/pool shifts may also be included. WORK RESPONSIBILITIES As a work supervisor, you will support and guide participants with decisions about daily activities under LSS in their work and activities at Camp Nova. Together with the participants, you will plan, carry out, and follow up on work tasks based on individual schedules, goals, and interests. The work is varied and adapted to the participants' needs and wishes. You will work both in groups and individually with participants.
