Municipal Development Officer

The Workplace The Municipal Administration has a municipal-wide mission and serves as support to the municipality's operations in matters concerning governance, development, and service. Several central functions and competencies are gathered here, including administration, finance, HR, communication, and labor market services, with the goal of creating good conditions for the entire municipality's operations. We are now looking for a Municipal Development Officer who wants to work closely with the Municipal Director and the municipality's management group to drive development across the entire municipal organization. The role is central in strengthening our ability to work smarter, more data-driven, and with increased focus on benefits for residents and operations. Your Responsibilities As a Municipal Development Officer, you work across the municipality and initiate and drive development that creates concrete benefits. The purpose of the role is to strengthen Karlsborg Municipality's ability to conduct efficient, modern, and cohesive operations development with particular focus on digitalization, AI, and organization-wide benefit realization. You will, among other things: - Support managers and management groups in change work - Coordinate and drive projects and development initiatives together with operations developers and other key functions in the municipality - Identify, map, and develop processes to create more efficient and cohesive ways of working - Contribute to developing the municipality's governance, monitoring, and control - Actively work with digitalization, with focus on AI, and translate opportunities in this area into practical solutions in operations - Be responsible for the entire chain - from idea to implementation What We Offer With us, you will have a key role in the municipality's development and the opportunity to work closely with senior management on strategic and operations-related matters. You have several years of experience in operations development and are used to driving projects, development initiatives, and change work in complex organizations. You have a good understanding of digitalization's opportunities and see AI as a natural tool in future operations development. We also see that you have experience in process management and a structured approach where you can translate ideas and needs into concrete benefits in operations. To succeed in the role, you need to have good pedagogical ability and be able to create engagement, participation, and understanding among both managers and employees. It is a merit if you have experience from both the public and private sector, as the role involves being able to combine different perspectives and approaches in development work. We would also like to see that you have worked with benefit realization or results management, and have experience working with management groups to support strategic development processes. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities. To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be able to switch between strategic perspective and practical implementation. You work independently, take initiative, and have the ability to drive work forward in a structured manner. You are analytical and solution-oriented, have a knack for building trust and engagement, and create good collaborations. The role also requires good communication skills where you can adapt your message and approach based on different target groups and operations' needs.
