About the Operation
At the Building and Environmental Unit in Hylte Municipality, we are 11 committed employees working together to develop our municipality in the best way possible. The unit is part of the Community Development Administration and is responsible for areas including building permits, detailed development plans, environmental and health protection, food-related matters, and supervision of alcohol and tobacco according to current legislation. Our mission is to ensure a sustainable and pleasant environment for the municipality's approximately 10,000 residents.

Job Responsibilities
As an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector in Hylte Municipality, you will have varied and rewarding work where no two days are the same. You work with supervision and case management within environmental law areas and meet both business owners and residents in your daily work. The role includes conducting inspection visits, providing guidance and support, following up on deficiencies, and ensuring that legislation is complied with.
In this project position, the focus is primarily on work with individual sewage systems. The assignment includes both fieldwork and administrative tasks such as issuing enforcement notices, communication, and billing in various matters. You collaborate closely with both external and internal stakeholders, including elected officials, in working toward sustainable community development. The position offers a flexible work environment where you have the opportunity to influence work content based on your experience and interests, with some possibility for remote work.
Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in the role of Environmental and Health Protection Inspector, we see that you have relevant education or equivalent competence that the employer considers comparable. It is advantageous if you have experience with similar tasks, but we place great emphasis on your personal suitability, your commitment, and your ability to communicate in a clear and educational manner.
We are looking for someone who:
Has education as an Environmental and Health Protection Inspector or equivalent competence
Is organized and has good ability to plan, prioritize, and take responsibility for your work
Enjoys meeting people and finds it easy to build good relationships
Has good knowledge of relevant legislation and can make well-founded decisions based on it
Holds a Class B driver's license, as supervision and facility visits are part of the position
It is advantageous if you have experience working with the case management system ECOS.
