Dedicated Cook for the Meals Unit
In Upplands-Bro Municipality, we are approximately 2,000 employees working to provide our residents and visitors with the best possible service and experience of the municipality. Within the Meals Unit, we plan, prepare, deliver, and serve meals to schools, preschools, and meal boxes for home care services. Each day, approximately 4,500 portions are prepared. The Meals Unit's staff is distributed across ten kitchens, including one central production kitchen with delivery, six production kitchens, and three receiving kitchens. We are now seeking a dedicated cook who wants to help develop our menus, create sustainable and nutritious meals, and inspire our guests every day. Job Description: As a cook, you will prepare delicious, nutritious, and individually adapted meals. In your role, you see the bigger picture of the operation, and you will spend some of your time monitoring trends, updates, and new findings in public meals as well as in the private sector. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that all guests, including those with allergies and special dietary needs, receive the food they need and exceed their expectations. You care about the environment and enjoy working with organic products. You will meet our guests, their families, and your colleagues in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent service. We are looking for someone with: Three-year restaurant and large-scale kitchen education at upper secondary level or equivalent. Previous experience working as a cook. Good teamwork skills. As a person, you are attentive, flexible, and collaboration-oriented, and you want to provide the best service and quality to our guests. Lunch Cook Needed – Season 2026 (Full-time / Part-time / As Needed)

We are now hiring a lunch cook for the 2026 season. This is a seasonal position starting in mid-April and can be full-time, part-time, or as-needed. Work follows a schedule and includes both weekdays and weekends. About the Position As our lunch cook, you will be responsible for daily lunch production and contribute to an efficient, organized kitchen with consistent quality.
