SÖRF Seeks New Employees, Combined Service Positions
Southeastern Skåne Rescue Service Agency (Sydöstra Skånes Räddningstjänstförbund) was established in 2000 and includes the municipalities of Simrishamn, Sjöbo, Tomelilla, and Ystad. The agency has approximately 170 employees, of which 45 are full-time. The agency consists of one full-time station and six part-time stations. SÖRF is seeking two combined service positions focused on workshops, vehicles, logistics, training grounds, and operational work. SÖRF envisions a firefighter/crew leader with interests in workshop and vehicle management as well as responsibility for logistics and training grounds who can match this with some operational work within the full-time organization. SÖRF is investing in combined service positions to create the opportunity to handle strategic day-to-day work while simultaneously strengthening the operational organization. The Position The positions are primarily daytime but have a connection to operational work through membership in a shift team. Firefighter competency is a requirement. The positions will focus on tasks within vehicles, logistics, workshops, and training grounds, which means the position is based during daytime hours. This amounts to 40 hours/week with service according to AB (Swedish Collective Agreement for Municipal Employees) and any local agreements. Coordination with the shift team occurs during daytime when work schedules align for training and competency development. If needed within operational work, the combined service position is available for operational shifts according to the current schedule for full-time firefighters, five rotating shifts with split days and weekend overnight service. The goal of these positions is to create flexibility in the organization where we have positions that can work with a clear focus and good work environment planning across our broad mandate. Qualifications · Required Competencies o Completed full-time firefighter training or equivalent SMO training, or o Part-time firefighter training (RIB) with several years of experience, or o Other rescue training deemed equivalent by the employer o Driver's license category C is required · Desirable Competencies o Good understanding of rescue service operations o Experience with project/work group management is desirable o Experience with workshop work, technical work, and training/material planning Duties include but are not limited to: · Responsibility and project management of training grounds · Work with vehicle and material service, inspection of vehicles and equipment · Responsibility and planning for SÖRF's logistics within the operational area · Responsibility for capability development within subject matter or sub-area · Operational service in shift teams · Support for training and exercise activities · Preventive work and regulatory compliance We value the individual and strive to create a good social work environment; therefore, personal qualities are important to us. SÖRF Seeks Firefighter Full-Time and Temporary Positions

The service employs approximately 170 staff members, of which 45 are full-time. The organization consists of one full-time station and six part-time stations. The organization adapts to the future by creating and maintaining the possibility of a flat structure where we distribute responsibility and work tasks based on operational needs and individual interests. SÖRF envisions a firefighter who can and wants to work with many different tasks and vary them throughout their career. Positions SÖRF needs to strengthen staffing in Ystad with firefighter positions in the full-time force. We also need to cover maternity leave and are therefore seeking a one-year temporary position. Full-time firefighters currently work five rotating shifts with divided days and overnight shifts on weekends. The position involves primarily 80% operational service and 20% operational time. This amounts to 42 hours per week with service around the clock, in accordance with Appendix R. Since a firefighter at SÖRF works within a broad spectrum of tasks, we welcome applicants with experience in training, project work, and other relevant competencies within the basic work areas of the rescue service.
