Accounting and Finance Assistant

The Swedish operations recently moved to a new production facility in Nybro and are in an exciting development phase. Responsibilities and Tasks Would you like to work close to the business and take operational responsibility for accounting at a growing company? In the role of accounting specialist, you will have a central position in the daily accounting work, where you are responsible for ensuring quality and structure in ongoing accounting. You work independently in the operational flow while maintaining close collaboration with the financial manager, production, procurement, and sales. The role also includes a clear connection to the business, where you follow projects and flows through the entire process – from order to completed accounting. Examples of tasks: Ongoing accounting including accounts receivable and payable Reconciliations and work with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing reports Handling of VAT and taxes as well as contact with authorities, auditors, and banks Administration of customer projects in the business system, including support to sales regarding orders, deliveries, and invoicing Follow-up of financial flows related to projects, production, and the business system Your Profile You thrive in an operational role where you can take responsibility for the overall daily accounting and work close to the business. You are expected to be self-directed, organized, and confident in your competence, while having the ability to prioritize and drive work forward. You are thorough without getting lost in details, have an analytical approach, and see the value in understanding the business behind the numbers. This is a role for you who appreciates operational work – and who enjoys creating quality and structure in your daily tasks. This role requires you to have: Post-secondary education in accounting, such as vocational training or equivalent with a focus on accounting At least 3 years of experience working as an accounting specialist or in an equivalent role Experience with ongoing accounting including bookkeeping, reconciliations, and monthly closing or parts of closing Experience with accounts receivable and payable as well as understanding of the connection to the general ledger Practical experience with VAT accounting and basic knowledge of tax regulations Experience with reconciliation work and account analysis Good system skills from business systems and strong Excel knowledge Ability to understand and work with the entire financial flow, from order to completed accounting Strong knowledge of Swedish and English in speaking and writing Experience working under deadlines in connection with monthly closing, experience from manufacturing operations or production environment, and work in ERP systems such as Business Central or Monitor are considered merits.
