Description Åtteråsskolan is an F-3 school in a naturally beautiful setting with approximately 240 students distributed across four grade levels from preschool to grade 3. Job Responsibilities Your job responsibilities will consist of typical special education teacher/special pedagogy tasks such as assessments, formulating intervention programs, supporting students with special education needs in small groups as well as in the classroom, coaching conversations, supporting and guiding teachers/work teams on general and specific challenges, organizational planning, motivating and supporting students, providing structured support and much more. You should be prepared to support students in several different subjects. Your main affiliation will be with the Innovation Sector and you will be based in our study center, which is open to all students in the school. Subject teachers also work in the study center according to schedule. You will be part of the sector's student health team, which works to develop structures that promote student health, motivation, and learning. Qualifications We are looking for you who have a special education teacher degree, preferably with a focus on mathematics, and have broad experience and competence in learning and teaching at the upper secondary school level. You should have a genuine interest in working with inclusive learning environments and want to create a learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students. You are well-versed in students' many different needs and what is required to meet them well within the framework of upper secondary school. You have the ability to motivate and find new ways/solutions to help students reach their goals. You meet students with curiosity and interest, have good patience, and show good understanding of each individual's different circumstances so that students can achieve their goals. As an employee, you are enterprising, action-oriented, independent, and flexible, but also attentive and analytical. You are confident in your professional role, skilled at building good relationships, and capable of collaborating with students, guardians, teachers, and other staff. You are well-acquainted with upper secondary school regulations and current research in the field.
