The Community Development Administration encompasses the departments of technology and services, culture and recreation, the public health unit, and the building and environment department which is under development. Currently, approximately 90 employees work in the Community Development Administration.

Do you want to help shape the society of the future?
We are now looking for a planning architect / urban planner who wants to contribute to developing the physical environment and creating attractive places for those who live, work and spend time in the municipality. In this role, you will primarily work with detailed planning, while contributing your expertise in overview and strategic planning issues.
This is an outward-facing role with many contact points, where dialogue, service and good treatment are central. You have an important function in meeting both developers and citizens, and contribute to finding ways forward in issues where different interests need to be weighed together.
Work Tasks
As a planning architect / urban planner, you work with the entire detailed planning process - from early investigations to finished plans. You have a central role in developing the municipality's physical environment and creating well-thought-out and functional solutions.
The assignment includes, for example:
handling and preparing detailed plans, in accordance with the Planning and Building Act
driving and coordinating detailed planning processes
working with design and layout of good environments
carrying out investigations related to land use, buildings and infrastructure
preparing analyses, decision-making materials and presentations
participating in work with overview planning and other strategic planning issues
participating in the development of guidelines and control documents
participating in development and development projects.
You coordinate planning processes and work towards good dialogue with various actors. In the work you collaborate closely with:
developers
citizens
internal operations
consultants
authorities.
The role involves many contacts and requires that you actively work with dialogue, guidance and accessibility throughout the planning process.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
relevant higher education or university education in physical planning, architecture or equivalent
experience working with detailed planning
good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act.
Experience and Knowledge
We would like to see that you have experience in:
working in public sector operations
leading or coordinating planning processes
and the ability to prepare analyses and decision-making materials.
Furthermore, you need to be structured, collaborative and have a holistic perspective. You enjoy a role with many contact points and have a genuine interest in dialogue, service and treatment. You have the ability to handle conflicting goals in a balanced and professional manner, weigh different interests and contribute to solutions that work in practice. You can explain complex issues in a clear, pedagogical and accessible way.
