Currently, approximately 90 employees work in the Community Development Administration. Responsibilities Now you have the chance to share your passion for food with all our important guests! You understand the importance of your work to the overall operations and want to contribute to ensuring that our children, educators, and seniors receive high-quality meals with good and varied food prepared from scratch to the greatest extent possible. You believe it's important to serve climate-smart and sustainable food and know how to communicate your knowledge and love of food to others. In Lekeberg municipality, there are three production kitchens within the Meal Unit: the Central Kitchen at Lekebergsskolan, Hidinge school restaurant, and Träffen's preparation kitchen, which prepares meals for elderly care. All meals distributed to the municipality's schools, childcare, and elderly care are prepared in these kitchens. Approximately 2,000 meals are produced every weekday. We believe that success depends on strong collaboration across boundaries, for example between the kitchen and educational activities. The kitchen should be an integrated part of the school and care services. This position is a new "pool position" as a cook in the meal unit, which means you will work in different preparation kitchens where the need is greatest in the municipality. As a cook, your work involves ensuring that the food served meets high quality standards according to the National Food Agency's guidelines "Good Food in Preschools/Schools/Elderly Care." Your role is very important, and together with other cooks and meal assistants, you will perform meal preparation, planning, ordering, dishwashing, etc. As an employee in Lekeberg municipality, you will receive a range of benefits, including: • Wellness allowance of up to 3,000 SEK/year • Vacation days in addition to the statutory 25 days when you turn 40 and 50 years old • Opportunity to rent an employee bicycle and/or company car as a gross salary deduction Qualifications We are now looking for someone with: • Education in large-scale catering, hotel and restaurant, or equivalent documented experience • Knowledge of self-control, food hygiene, dietary food, and special diets • Experience and knowledge of using IT systems • Driver's license with Class B authorization It is meritorious if you have experience preparing special diets for children, experience working with vegetarian food, special diets, and dietary food for seniors. It is desirable that you have experience from both the private restaurant industry and public meal services. We would like to see that you communicate well in Swedish, as it is of utmost importance that the right guest receives the right diet when it comes to various special diets. As a person, you are attentive and solution-focused. You are thorough, flexible, and service-oriented. You have a good ability to plan and structure your work, and of course, you cook delicious food that appeals to many! You can collaborate as well as work independently.
