You will work with us at the Building and Environmental Administration, where we handle building permits, coastal protection, housing adaptation, supervision according to the Planning and Building Act, GIS and geodata, environmental and health protection, and food inspection. Your workplace will be at the municipal office, which is just a stone's throw from the Pågatåg train station in Bjuv. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you will work as a processor of building permits and building notifications as well as supervisory matters under the Planning and Building Act, and also handle applications for housing adaptation grants. You will also work with administrative matters related to the building permit process. As a processor, you make independent decisions in accordance with the current delegation regulations and prepare and present matters for decision to the Building and Environmental Committee. The distribution between processing and administrative tasks may vary over time, but the starting point is 75% processing and 25% administration. Since Bjuv is a small municipality, you will also likely assist with other matters the administration handles. An important part of your assignment is to inform about the building permit process and answer questions from the public. In the role as a building permit inspector, close collaboration with colleagues in the administration, other officials within the municipality, politicians, citizens, consultants, and other authorities is required. You continuously work to streamline work processes and always provide citizens and businesses with high service and professional treatment. QUALIFICATIONS You have post-secondary education relevant to the position. You have some years of experience in building permit processing and handling housing adaptation applications, preferably from municipal operations. You have good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act and the Housing Adaptation Grant Act. If you have experience working with EDP Vision, Ciceron, and Gaida (formerly Geosecma), that is a plus. You ensure that you stay updated within the field. You are a team player who also has the ability to work independently. To function in the group, you need to be a relationship builder who sees solutions before problems and who has a flexible approach. In stressful situations, you remain calm and maintain a realistic perspective. We highly value that you feel strong responsibility for your work and ensure that you complete your assignment. It is important that you can structure and plan your work and that you collaborate well with colleagues in the building permit group and administration, but also with colleagues in other parts of the municipality. You are committed to providing good service. Good and professional treatment and the ability to adapt your communication to the person you meet is necessary.
