About the Accommodation Department
The Accommodation Department brings together all functions working with guest accommodations under one roof. Here, booking, group and conference, guest and owner services, maintenance, cleaning, reception, and internal facilities teams work together. All with the goal of making the guest's stay as great as possible.
Kläppen Booking includes sales, group & conference, as well as owner and guest services.
Responsibilities
In your role as operations manager, you are responsible for the daily operations of the department and ensure that the business runs smoothly year-round. During the winter season, your main focus is on managing and coaching staff so that the team remains engaged and motivated. Through your leadership, you contribute to guests and owners always receiving first-class service – whether they contact Kläppen Booking or owner and guest services.
During low season, you support Kläppen's telephone booking when needed, with a focus on sales and advice to private guests. Together with the accommodation manager, you also develop attractive offers and packages during periods when these are requested.
You participate in developing the department's goals for each season. You are responsible for communicating these goals clearly and inspiringly to staff and ensure that the team has the right conditions to achieve them. During the season, you continuously follow up on results and present them to the team, so everyone knows how we're doing and how we can work together to reach the season's objectives.
About the Position
This is a temporary position covering a parental leave, with a preliminary end date of August 31, 2027. Start date June 1 or by agreement.
Scheduled working hours; weekend work occurs. Salary according to collective agreement.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience in management, preferably within service or booking operations.
• Is experienced in coaching, motivating, and developing staff.
• Has strong communication skills and enjoys a role with extensive contact with both guests and colleagues.
• Is organized, solution-oriented, and comfortable prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.
• Has good administrative skills and is comfortable with digital systems.
• Speaks and writes Swedish and English fluently.
• Has exceptional service focus and is driven by creating really great guest experiences.
• Has good knowledge of the Office suite.
Meritorious
• Experience with R360 or similar booking systems.
• Strong English language skills, both spoken and written.
