Specialist Physician – General Medicine

We support you and offer development throughout your professional career. About Us Närhälsan Torslanda Health Center is a well-functioning workplace with competent staff and satisfied patients. We work with everything from preventive health activities to acute care. Today we have approximately 50 employees across different professional groups working at the health center, and we have around 17,250 registered patients of all ages—all equally important to us. The health center offers physician consultations, laboratory testing, district nurse consultations, child health clinics, and specialized clinics for diabetes, asthma/COPD, smoking cessation, hypertension, and elderly and dementia care. We have a rehabilitation coordinator and care planning nurse, as well as a psychosocial team consisting of a psychologist, social worker, and care coordinator. We work closely with the municipality and are responsible for physicians in municipal care facilities and patients receiving home care services. We actively work to develop operations through continuous improvements in which everyone participates. We therefore hold frequent APT meetings and professional meetings where we collectively work with and follow up on ongoing work and projects. Your tasks at the health center span a broad field and include general medicine expertise with patients of all ages and situations. You will work with clinic consultations and digital care visits in primary care. You and your colleagues form a team with the opportunity to develop the operations. The role also includes supervising ST and AT physicians as well as medical students—it is an important part of our mission to educate tomorrow's healthcare professionals. About You You are a licensed physician with specialist training in general medicine with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency in speech and writing at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale is a requirement for the position. We are looking for someone who can work independently but also wants to participate in the development of operations. In this work you will meet many different patients, so it is important that you are attentive and have good interpersonal skills. You enjoy teamwork and it is self-evident to you to collaborate with colleagues and other partners in the work.
