NDT Technician at Ovako
About the Position
As an NDT technician, you will work in a technician role supporting control station KS18. The role involves close collaboration with NDT technicians in Boxholm and the NDT technical manager. You will be responsible for the entire flow process with a special focus on inspection and testing equipment such as ultrasound, magnetic particle, surface defect inspection, and related equipment.
The role combines technical work, analysis, quality, and collaboration in production.
This is a direct employment position with Ovako.
Responsibilities
Ensure function, status, and reliability of testing and inspection equipment
Handle and analyze non-conforming material and participate in root cause investigations
Support operators in daily operations
Work with preventive and corrective maintenance
Participate in quality work
Contribute to improvement and development projects
Location: Smedjebacken
Scope: Full-time
Work Hours: Day shift
About You
We are looking for someone currently working in production, maintenance, quality, or technical roles who wants to develop within NDT. The role is well-suited for you if you want to take the next step and build specialized expertise over time. An interest in technology and a willingness to develop are important, as mandatory NDT training and certifications are a natural part of the position.
Qualifications
Experience from production and/or maintenance in process industry
Technical interest and ability to work in a structured manner
Good computer skills
Basic knowledge of English
An orderly work approach, integrity, and good collaboration skills
Merits
Experience in non-destructive testing
Knowledge of ultrasound or magnetic particle testing
Electrical/electronics background
Familiarity with quality and regulation-driven work
