Markverkstäderna, MvE, is a unit within the Army Staff, AST, that performs maintenance on the Swedish Armed Forces' ground equipment, air base equipment, and provides technical system support. This includes maintenance in the form of inspections, repairs, manufacturing, disassembly/scrapping, modifications, operational support, technical adaptation, and material inspection. The Markverkstad unit delivers services according to customer requirements.
You will be part of Markverkstad Syd, which operates in Tofta, Revingehed, Ronneby, and Karlskrona, and has approximately 160 employees.

Main Duties
As a weapons technician, you will primarily work with preventive and remedial maintenance/repairs of weapons and optics. You will be part of a group of 14 employees, of which 5 are weapons technicians, and you will report to the Detail Chief Special. Since the department also supports other units in Sweden with support and maintenance, some travel is included in the role. We will offer internal training on systems and equipment as we work with unique products.
Work involving hardened plastics occurs in the workplace and requires health examinations.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
At least completed two or three-year upper secondary school with a focus on technology or equivalent competence acquired through professional experience that the employer deems equivalent
Experience with similar work
Computer skills with knowledge of the MS Office package, primarily Word and Excel
Good knowledge of technology and troubleshooting
Category B driver's license

You are flexible and can easily shift your focus and adapt to a changing environment. Meritorious
Experience with maintenance of weapons, optics, or precision mechanics
Relevant experience working as a technician or mechanic in a similar field
Training from Swedish Armed Forces in weapons systems, sensors, or optics
Experience from the Swedish Armed Forces and its procedures and support systems
Experience and knowledge of workshop operations and material maintenance in the Swedish Armed Forces
Forklift certification
Category C or CE driver's license
