Approximately 3,000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist care of the highest quality. Specialist Physician - Welcome to our lung team! We are seeking a specialist physician for our lung team. With us, you will follow patients from referral/initial visit through investigation and outpatient follow-up. At the specialist clinic, we have access to X-ray, pulmonary function testing, and blood gas analysis. In our multidisciplinary team, we have the opportunity to collaborate through short processing routes in managing complex patients. The lung team has developed work methods with comprehensive patient management including obstructive lung disease and asthma. This occurs through interactive collaboration between physicians, specialized nurses, coordinators, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, social workers, biomedical analysts, and medical secretaries. Treatment and care plans are created based on individual circumstances through patient conferences. Beyond obstructive lung disease, we manage a broad spectrum of pulmonary conditions. TB operations are part of the lung clinic with a focus on diagnosis and treatment of TB as well as contact tracing. We perform lung function tests, spirometry, IOS, NO measurement, and other examinations. The lung team also has a mandate to prevent disease, with a focus on tobacco prevention. The majority of our nurses are certified smoking cessation specialists. The lung team also operates a COPD education program. Preventive work also takes place outside the hospital. Duties Work in specialist pulmonary care, outpatient only, Monday-Friday, currently daytime hours. The position includes interpretation of various pulmonary function tests, consultative work within the mobile team, and ensuring that diagnostics and treatment follow current guidelines and recommendations. Participate in ongoing development of pulmonary care operations, contribute to staff competency development, and collaborate with other organizations such as ASIH, primary care, municipalities, and other hospitals. Be readily available for consultation on matters related to pulmonary conditions. Qualifications Licensed physician with specialist competence in pulmonary diseases. Experience and competence in managing outpatient pulmonary disease and pulmonary infection cases. Strong social competence and collaboration skills since our work is based on teamwork.
