Unit Manager at Vaxholms Elderly Care Home

Where you will work:
Forenede Care Vaxholms elderly care home consists of three properties with a total of 83 apartments distributed across seven units. Five units are designated for people with cognitive impairments.
The facility is located near green spaces and with good transportation connections. It takes approximately 40 minutes by bus from central Stockholm, and approximately one hour by Vaxholms boat.
The role of unit manager that makes a difference
As a unit manager, you will, in collaboration with the operations manager, be responsible for leading and developing the operations. You will work systematically to create optimal conditions for employees to provide high-quality care and services.
You report directly to the operations manager and are expected to be an active and contributing member of the operations management team.

Who are you?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about working in elderly care and who wants to contribute daily to creating a meaningful life for our elderly. You are customer-oriented, service-minded, and have a creative approach to your work. To thrive and succeed in the role, it is important that you have a natural ability to build relationships and that you are a team player. It is advantageous if you have leadership experience or have previously held a leadership position, and if you are motivated to continue developing your leadership further.
In your work, you proceed from a professional approach and your work style is characterized by commitment and responsiveness to both patients, family members, employees, and our clients.

Qualifications and experience required for the unit manager position
We are looking for:
- Higher education and/or university degree, e.g., social worker, behavioral scientist, or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience successfully leading employees and teams in elderly care.
- Good knowledge and experience of working with and reporting in various support systems, e.g., journal, planning, and salary systems.
- If you proceed in the process, we will request documentation of the above qualifications.
Before we offer employment, you must provide an unopened extract from the police criminal record register. We also require a valid Swedish work permit, for example a passport or approved work permit from the Swedish Migration Agency.
Meritorious
It is advantageous if you have training in leadership or experience leading, as well as experience with operations run in the private sector.
