Are You Ready to Be a Benefits Caseworker? We Welcome Your Application!

Through our core values of courage, tolerance, and creativity, we work in Uppvidinge Municipality to provide excellent service and develop vital community functions for our residents, visitors, and businesses. Uppvidinge Municipality is the municipality's largest employer with approximately 800 employees. With us, we want our employees to feel highly involved, and there should be room for flexibility and development. We offer meaningful work where together we have the opportunity to truly make a difference for the municipality's residents. Welcome to apply and welcome to a municipality with a thriving business sector, a rich community life, and proximity to nature! The Individual and Family Care and LSS Department is part of the Welfare and Care Administration in Uppvidinge Municipality and consists of four units, each with its own unit manager. There are also two senior social secretaries who provide case-specific support and guidance. We work with both authority functions according to legislation such as the Social Services Act (SoL), LSS, LVU, and LVM, and with the implementation of interventions according to the Social Services Act and LSS. We want to make social work a field where people with competence, ambition, and heart can develop and create a stable foundation for social work that is constantly changing. We place great emphasis on creating stability, promoting creativity and courage, and want to give each employee the opportunity to grow and develop both personally and in their professional role to become the best version of themselves. We offer a workplace where we support each other and work from a holistic perspective. You will receive close management, case-specific support, and teamwork across unit boundaries. We work with developmental employee engagement using the National Defence University's model to create effective work teams with shared responsibility for those we serve, motivation in work, and employees' personal development. The development and transformation linked to the new Social Services Act, where preventive interventions, flexibility, and collaboration are central, presents us with exciting challenges and requires courage and creativity. We are particularly investing in developing preventive work and meeting places for the elderly and creating new workflows and working methods across boundaries together with home care, home healthcare, and rehabilitation. We are seeking new solutions in ordinary housing to create good conditions for our elderly and to make it possible for more people to stay at home longer, requiring fewer to move into specialized housing. 2 position(s). WORK TASKS As two employees are transitioning to other tasks within the organization, we are looking for new and committed employees for our team within all authority functions in elderly care. The position belongs to the Adult and LSS unit within Individual and Family Care and LSS. As a caseworker in benefits administration, you will be part of the Adult and LSS unit and the work group with three benefits caseworkers for elderly care and two caseworkers for LSS and social psychiatry. The unit also includes social secretaries responsible for financial assistance, harmful use and violence in close relationships, seven housing support workers, and a budget and debt advisor. This creates good dynamics in the unit with multiple roles, competencies, experiences, and strengths. We work closely together and take advantage of each other's expertise and experience. The position involves authority functions with elderly clients, and you are responsible for investigation, assessment, decisions, and follow-up of interventions. The work involves close dialogue with those we serve and their relatives, as well as a supportive function for people seeking interventions and their loved ones. You work both independently and in teams in close collaboration with colleagues in other parts of IFO as well as within the care and health department. The work therefore requires you to have a good ability to build relationships and collaborate with colleagues and other professionals, internally and externally. We work based on the approach, Individual Needs at the Center (IBIC), and in the management system Lifecare. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with higher education in social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You need to be well versed in current legislation and have the ability to work with complex issues. The position requires that you master the Swedish language well and have the ability to express yourself well in both speech and writing. We are looking for someone who is committed and passionate about social work and who wants to share your competence and experience. You are curious and not afraid of challenges. You are unpretentious, a quick learner, and confident in yourself, and you have a good ability to prioritize. The work requires you to be stress-resistant and persistent, as well as flexible and ensure that what needs to be done gets done. Your strength is that you prefer to see possibilities rather than difficulties and enjoy the challenge of finding constructive solutions to complex problems. You work well in collaboration both internally and externally and are humble and attentive to others' perspectives. Good treatment in client contacts is self-evident to you. Experience is considered a merit, and we place great emphasis on personal qualifications and suitability. A driver's license is a requirement. Salary form: Monthly salary. Type of employment: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent, start date: By agreement. Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis during the recruitment process. Working hours: Daytime. If you are a candidate for employment, the employer will request an extract from the criminal record register. The Municipal Council has decided that all new employees must present a criminal record extract before employment. The extract to be presented is the extract for work in schools or preschools. To ensure quality in the recruitment process in Uppvidinge Municipality and enable good communication with our applicants, we ask you to submit your application digitally and not via email or paper format. In preparation for the recruitment process, Uppvidinge Municipality has taken a position on recruitment channels and marketing. We therefore firmly decline contact from media sales representatives, recruitment websites, and similar.
