Maintenance Engineer
Metsä Board Husum is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for the Cardboard Mill Metsä Board Husum – a leading manufacturer of virgin fiber-based pulp and premium cardboard As a Maintenance Engineer, you will work in close collaboration with operations and maintenance departments to ensure operational reliability of the facility. This will be achieved through proactively maintaining/developing systems and machinery equipment as well as internal work processes. Your main responsibilities include: Leading the operational reliability work for the department through development and planning of maintenance plans and maintenance programs Establishing and developing maintenance processes, procedures, and instructions Working long-term with the facility's machinery equipment toward set production and efficiency goals Leading and initiating major repairs and maintenance projects Leading work groups in problem-solving/investigation work Serving as contact person with external suppliers Inspection work and contacts with authorities Participating in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) When needed, training maintenance and operations personnel on current systems Who are you? Fire Safety Guard
We are now seeking additional Fire Safety Guards for staffing during maintenance shutdowns in weeks 39-40. The work will involve long working days and possibly nights. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, preferably with good social skills, ability to take own initiative and work independently, and take personal responsibility for getting the job done. You should enjoy working in a group but also be able to work alone. As a fire safety guard, you will monitor other professionals performing welding, cutting, and grinding work at a temporary work site where there is a fire risk. The employment is at Metsä Husum Factory Area and you will arrange your own transportation to the work site. Your application should include a CV and cover letter.
