Metsä Board Husum is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for the Cardboard Mill Metsä Board Husum – a leading manufacturer of virgin fiber-based pulp and premium cardboard As a Maintenance Engineer, you will work in close collaboration with operations and maintenance departments to ensure operational reliability of the facility. This will be achieved through proactively maintaining/developing systems and machinery equipment as well as internal work processes. Your main responsibilities include: Leading the operational reliability work for the department through development and planning of maintenance plans and maintenance programs Establishing and developing maintenance processes, procedures, and instructions Working long-term with the facility's machinery equipment toward set production and efficiency goals Leading and initiating major repairs and maintenance projects Leading work groups in problem-solving/investigation work Serving as contact person with external suppliers Inspection work and contacts with authorities Participating in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) When needed, training maintenance and operations personnel on current systems Who are you? The position involves broad technical scope and responsibility, so we are looking for someone with relevant education at the engineering level or experience in the field. We are looking for someone who takes own initiatives while being a good team player. You have the ability to collaborate and build good relationships in a broad network. You are quality-conscious and have the ability to drive work forward. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Experience from process industry or project work is considered a merit.
