Communications Specialist
Värmdö is the meeting place of the archipelago with a unique combination of nature's quiet beauty and a more urban lifestyle. Our mission is not one but many: schools, properties, social services, harbors, healthcare, libraries, care and many more. We work to ensure that all Värmdö residents can live a rich and free life. We want to be those who enable the dream of a vibrant and safe environment for home, family and business.
For us to fully succeed, we need diverse competencies and to work together for a shared and trusting work culture, built on courageous, responsible employees who understand residents' needs and wishes.
Our Operations
The Planning Unit is one of five units within the Community Development Department and has a central role in shaping the municipality's long-term development. We work with planning programs, detailed plans and other urban development projects that create sustainable living environments and enable the municipality's growth and ambitious environmental goals.
Our operations are characterized by close and cross-functional collaboration with other parts of the municipality. Together we drive development forward with a holistic perspective on community building – from early stages to implementation.
We are currently 12 employees in the planning unit and work in project form where we combine different competencies to handle complex issues in planning, environment and implementation. Our projects range from the development of existing areas to major development projects where new housing, activities and infrastructure are planned and implemented.
