Teacher in After-School Care at the Resource School
Teacher in After-School Care We are now recruiting a certified teacher in after-school care at Pusselbiten in Dalby for a permanent position. Pusselbiten is a resource school for students in primary school and adapted primary school with diagnoses within the autism spectrum. Our operations include primary school grades 1–6, adapted primary school with subject focus grades 1–6, and adapted primary school with subject area focus grades 1–9. We also offer after-school care and short-term supervision according to LSS. Within Nytida, we are in constant development. Your Role As a teacher in after-school care, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on the after-school care activities. You contribute to creating a safe, structured, and meaningful day where students are given the opportunity to develop independence, communication, and social skills based on their individual conditions. The after-school care is an important part of students' coherent learning and development throughout the day. Through activities such as creative pursuits, movement, play, reading, outdoor time, and activities in the local environment, you contribute to students' learning, social development, and participation. Breakfast and snacks are part of the pedagogical activities. In these situations, students are given the opportunity to develop communication, social interaction, responsibility, and independence based on their conditions. Communication is a central part of the work. You work to create an accessible learning environment through clear structure, predictability, and adapted communication. When needed, visual supports, visual schedules, AAC, and other communicative tools are used. We work with clarifying pedagogy and a low-affect approach. The work is conducted in close collaboration with guardians, student support services, and other professions at the school. You are part of an interdisciplinary team where teachers, special education teachers, special education specialists, speech-language pathologists, counselors, and other staff members contribute various expertise regarding students' learning and development. About Pusselbiten At Pusselbiten, we start from each student's strengths, interests, and needs. Your Experience and Knowledge We are looking for someone who has teacher certification with authorization to work in after-school care. You have experience working in after-school care, school, or other pedagogical activities and feel confident planning, implementing, and following up on pedagogical work. We would like to see that you have experience working with students within the autism spectrum, intellectual disabilities, or other neurodevelopmental conditions. Experience working in primary school, adapted primary school, or resource schools is a merit. Knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, AAC, and low-affect approaches is a merit. As a person, you are organized, responsible, and have good collaboration skills. You have the ability to create clarity and continuity in your work and to adapt your approach based on students' needs. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. A driver's license is a merit. This is a permanent position. Pusselbiten is a resource school for students in elementary school and adapted elementary school with diagnoses within the autism spectrum. Participating in team meetings, student services meetings, and school development work. We work in a multidisciplinary manner and view collaboration as an important part of creating good conditions for student development. About Pusselbiten Pusselbiten is located in Dalby, just outside Lund, and has approximately 40 student places. The operations include: Elementary school grades 1–6 Adapted elementary school, subjects, grades 1–6 Adapted elementary school, subject areas, grades 1–9 Proximity to nature provides excellent opportunities to use outdoor spaces as part of instruction and student daily life. Qualifications We are looking for a certified teacher or special education teacher with authorization for grades 1–6. You have teaching experience and are confident in planning and delivering instruction based on curriculum goals. It is advantageous if you have experience working with students within the autism spectrum, intellectual disabilities, or other neuropsychiatric conditions. Experience from resource schools or adapted elementary schools is also beneficial. Knowledge of clarifying pedagogy, AAC, and low-arousal approaches is considered advantageous. We are looking for someone who is organized, takes responsibility, and collaborates easily. You build strong relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment. Personal suitability is weighted heavily. A driver's license (Category B) is advantageous.
