Operations Developer - with a Problem-Solving Mindset

Start Date: August 2026 Position: 75% Employment Type: Long-term Temporary Position We are now seeking an engaged and driven development leader for our preschool for a 75% temporary position starting August 10, 2026. The position will fill in during the regular development leader's sick leave (long-term temporary position 6-18 months) and involves close collaboration with management and overall responsibility for supporting and driving development work across three preschool units. About the Role As a development leader, you will play a key role in shaping, developing, and strengthening quality across our three preschool units. You will work closely with management and become an important driving force in the organization's continued development journey, with a focus on translating visions, research, and governing documents into concrete educational practice. The role combines strategic development work with operational support. You will lead processes, foster engagement, and ensure that development work feels meaningful and sustainable for the teams. Your responsibilities will include: Driving, coordinating, and following up on the organization's development and quality work based on the curriculum, education laws, and organizational goals. Providing qualified support to teams and educators in pedagogical development work. Leading processes, projects, and working groups with focus on learning, quality, and development. Contributing to analysis, monitoring, and systematic quality work at both unit and organizational levels. Supporting implementation of new approaches, development initiatives, and change processes. Developing learning environments that promote children's learning, participation, language development, and well-being. Creating conditions for collegial learning, reflection, and professional dialogue. Strengthening the organization's work in language development, multilingualism, interculturalism, and inclusive learning environments. Collaborating closely with the principal, management, and staff to ensure development work has impact across the entire organization. This is a role for you if you enjoy helping people grow, see opportunities where others see obstacles, and are motivated by creating long-term improvements that make a real difference for children, educators, and the organization. About You You see connections between daily practice, research, and governing documents and can help others do the same. You have the ability to identify development potential where others see challenges. You are curious and ask questions that lead to reflection, learning, and development. You have the courage to challenge established ways of working while creating security in change processes. You can shift between strategic big-picture thinking and operational support in the organization. You have well-developed analytical skills and enjoy investigating root causes rather than just focusing on symptoms. You are skilled at creating conditions for collegial learning and professional dialogue. You have the ability to translate ideas and visions into concrete actions and sustainable approaches. You see relationships as key to development and easily build trust across different groups. You have an exploratory mindset and are driven to continuously develop both the organization and yourself. You are unpretentious and see value in learning together with others. You can make development work feel meaningful, relevant, and achievable for staff. You have the ability to identify and share good practices throughout the organization. You are comfortable leading processes where the path forward is not always clear from the start. You have an intercultural approach and see diversity as a resource in development work. You have the ability to create engagement, participation, and understanding of development processes through clear and trust-building communication. You have experience with language-developing approaches and understand how language, communication, and multilingualism affect children's learning and participation. You thrive in the role of enabler and coach rather than controller. You have the ability to create structure without hindering creativity and innovation. You can translate quality data, observations, and reflections into development initiatives that make a real difference in the organization. A driver's license and access to your own car are merits, as the role involves close collaboration between our three preschool units and regular visits to the facilities. What We Offer A meaningful and developmental assignment where you have the opportunity to make a real difference. With us, you will play a key role in driving and shaping development work across three preschool units, in close collaboration with management and engaged teams. We offer an organization with short decision-making paths where ideas are welcome and where you have significant influence over both processes and development initiatives. Here you will have the opportunity to translate visions into practice and contribute to long-term improvements that strengthen educational quality. With us you will get: A leadership-close role with significant mandate to influence organizational development. Opportunity to lead and drive development projects from idea to implementation. Close collaboration with engaged and competent colleagues who want to develop together. Space to think innovatively, test ideas, and contribute your own initiatives. Flexibility regarding work hours and opportunity for some variation in workplace depending on organizational needs. Wellness allowance and focus on sustainable work life. An organization that values learning, innovation, and professional development. Opportunity to work strategically while seeing the direct impact of your work in the organization. An assignment where relationships, trust, and collaboration are central parts of the culture. Free parking and car allowance.
