We are now seeking an IT Support Manager responsible for leading and developing IT support across the municipal group. This role has a clear focus on improving the support chain through standardization, self-service, more efficient methods, and some automation. An important part of the assignment is to work more proactively with operations and the first line, so they have better conditions to prevent needs, solve more independently, and use IT support more effectively. We're looking for someone with IT support experience who wants to turn improvement ideas into practice to create value in daily operations for our users.

WORK TASKS
As IT Support Manager at Alvesta Municipality, you're responsible for developing and coordinating the IT support function. You drive improvements in methods, processes, and support flows with a focus on a more efficient and cohesive support chain. The role involves close collaboration with the first line as well as with operations and other IT functions to create clear interfaces and functioning handovers. You also work proactively with operations to strengthen knowledge support, self-service, and methods that enable more questions to be solved closer to the user and help prevent support needs. The role combines operational and hands-on support in daily operations with clear responsibility for advancing the support function. You also maintain contact with external suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS
We're looking for someone who has:
• High school diploma or equivalent competence as assessed by the employer.
• At least 2 years of IT support experience in a corporate environment, preferably in an organization the size of Alvesta Municipality.
• Experience leading, coordinating, or driving the development of a support function.
• Experience improving IT support methods, such as through standardization, self-service, or knowledge support.
• Ability to build and develop good relationships with suppliers to ensure IT services and tools work well.
• Experience with qualified troubleshooting and support of software, hardware, and Windows in a corporate environment.
• Good experience with ITSM tools and working according to ITIL processes or equivalent frameworks.
• Ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
It's a merit if you have:
• Experience owning and processing relevant key metrics.
• Experience training, guiding, and supporting colleagues and contributing to more consistent working methods.
• Good experience working in Microsoft-based client and server environments.
