The Labor Market Unit is organized under the Education and Labor Market Administration and belongs to the VIA department (adult education, integration, and labor market). We work in various ways with assignments primarily from social services/livelihood support, but also from the Integration Unit, the Swedish Public Employment Service, and other parties of the Coordination Association such as the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and Region Halland. We are 25 employees today. WORK TASKS The unit's and job coaches' assignment includes working with participants towards self-sufficiency, leading group activities, and actively working to find possible paths forward. This can mean finding potential employers, maintaining relationships with them, and matching participants with possible employment opportunities or finding paths towards studies or other self-sufficiency. QUALIFICATIONS Required is that you have relevant university education as a behavioral scientist, social worker, study and career advisor, occupational therapist, or other appropriate education that the employer deems equivalent, and we place great importance on personal suitability and experience. Experience from work at, for example, the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, and/or the Swedish Correctional Service is desirable. The same applies to experience of working with individuals with harmful use/addiction and mental health issues. We are looking for someone with experience working goal-focused with the unemployed who are far from the labor market towards self-sufficiency. Therefore, it is important that you have a combination of labor market knowledge and knowledge within behavioral science. It is very important that you are driven, goal-focused, and a network builder with a good ability to see the whole picture. To succeed in this role, you need to be skilled at communicating with colleagues, participants, and employers. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The unit's and job coaches' assignment includes working with participants toward self-sufficiency, facilitating group activities, and actively working to find possible paths forward. This may involve identifying potential employers, maintaining contacts with them, and matching participants with possible employment opportunities or finding paths to studies or other means of self-sufficiency. In this position, the main focus is to work together with the job coaches who in various ways conduct work capacity assessments and work to clarify/investigate activity capacity so that individuals are engaged in activities according to their ability, coach toward increased capacity, and/or receive appropriate compensation. QUALIFICATIONS We prefer that you have relevant higher education as a behavioral scientist, social worker, occupational therapist, or other appropriate education that the employer deems equivalent, and we place great emphasis on personal suitability and experience.
