In Östra Göinge municipality, we have a joint Staffing Unit for municipal operations, and our primary task is to staff short-term absences. We are now seeking new temporary workers within Health and Care! Here's how one of our temporary workers expresses it: I started working as a temporary worker with the staffing unit during my education. It was a good way to work a bit in the field I was studying. I also thought it could be difficult to get a job right after my education without contacts or experience. By working with the staffing unit, I get the chance to prove myself, build contacts, and gain experience. Plus, I can work both at special residences and in home care services. So I get the opportunity to see different operations, which is really fun and educational. 10 position(s). JOB DUTIES Within elderly care, which includes home care and special residences, you will provide care, support, and services based on the individual's needs. This ranges from nursing work to various service tasks such as shopping and meal preparation. In home care, you perform your work in the customer's home, traveling between clients by car or bicycle. The work is primarily independent, but certain tasks are performed together with colleagues. You will work from one of our home care teams in Broby, Knislinge, or Sibbhult/Glimåkra. The night patrol operates from Broby. At our special residences, which we have in Sibbhult, Knislinge, and Broby, you will work together with your colleagues. Within support services, which include LSS activities and personal assistance, you will support the user in their daily life. This may include help with cooking, housework, personal hygiene, and support in creating good living conditions. You will also encourage leisure and cultural activities and support the user's participation in society according to individually set goals. Work takes place both in the user's home environment and at our LSS residences in the municipality. As a temporary worker with the staffing unit, you will be called in as needed when regular staff are absent or when there is extra staffing need. Regardless of which operation you work in, you are responsible for how much you want to work by making yourself available in our booking system Medvind. You are expected to be available for at least 16 hours per month, but beyond that it's entirely up to you! If you are called for an interview, bring copies of grades and/or certificates of completion as well as references. For work in home care/Night patrol, you must also be able to show a valid driver's license. QUALIFICATIONS You are at least 18 years old, have completed or ongoing upper secondary education, preferably within health and care. Adult education or vocational training is considered equivalent to upper secondary education and/or relevant work experience based on individual assessment. If you have experience working in elderly care, that is a merit. To thrive in the role, you need to be calm, patient, and have the ability to sense the customer's needs and mood. You are flexible, responsible, and self-directed. Having good teamwork skills and always prioritizing the customer's needs is a given for you, as well as following our routines and methods. With us, you get varied and developmental work where you support people in their daily lives. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. You need to be comfortable using computers and phones as tools in your work. You must be able to master Swedish in both spoken and written form. To work in home care, a category B driver's license is required and you must be able to cycle to perform daily tasks. To work at one of our special residences or within support services, a category B driver's license is not required but is an advantage. During certain times of day and on weekends, it can be difficult to reach our residences by public transportation. The work includes working irregular hours, i.e., beyond normal daytime, evenings/nights, and weekends. 24-hour shifts occur within personal assistance. You will gain insight into many of the municipality's operations; you need to treat this insight with respect and humility. It is also important that you share our values and see your role as a support/helping hand to the municipality's operations in the work of making our customers satisfied and proud. Before an employment offer is made, a criminal record check is required for work in homes with elderly and people with disabilities. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
