We are now seeking a personal assistant for a 65-year-old man with a muscular disease who lives in his own apartment. He uses a wheelchair and needs help with most aspects of his daily life. Since his disability is only physical, the client appreciates conversation, humor, and good cooperation in everyday life. As a personal assistant, you will be an important support in his daily life. Your tasks will include helping with personal care, transfers, meals, household chores, and other practical daily activities. Equally important is your ability to contribute to a safe, calm, and pleasant atmosphere where you work together to make daily life run smoothly. For the client, it is very important that you are kind, reliable, and attentive. You also need to have a great understanding that it is the client himself who decides in his home and in his daily life. He will guide you and explain how he wants different tasks to be performed so that it feels safe and comfortable for him. The foundation of the work is respect, clear communication, and good cooperation. The client's main goal is to create a safe and positive work environment where everyone feels comfortable and enjoys each other's company. You will also become part of an assistant group with extensive experience in personal assistance. According to the client himself, it's the best group he's ever had – and now you have the opportunity to become part of it. The work spans all hours of the day and night. Night shifts involve being on call sleeping at the client's residence.
