We are looking for a confident communicator with a particular interest in creating content that reaches people, engages them, and makes a difference. The Communication and Marketing Unit holds overall responsibility for coordinating and developing Karlshamn Municipality's communication efforts. The unit is in the midst of a development journey where you will have the opportunity to contribute with your personality and knowledge in communication with a particular focus on content production, graphic production, and marketing. Job Responsibilities As a communicator with us, you work both strategically and operatively. You plan, implement, and follow up on communication initiatives, develop communication plans, and produce content across various channels. You work with text, images, and design and are experienced in creating clear and target-group-adapted information/communication. Together with colleagues and in close collaboration with experts within the municipality's departments and operations, you work proactively on various communication initiatives. You have particular responsibility for supporting one of the municipality's departments, but together with your colleagues in the unit, you actively work to improve the communication conditions across all operations. Examples of Job Tasks Plan, implement, and follow up on communication initiatives Content production, such as articles, press invitations, and press releases, as well as develop and publish web content, graphic materials, and social media materials. Graphic production, such as design of posters, printed materials, and more Photography and videography Marketing across various channels Advertising Requirements for the Position University or college degree in communication or media, or other education that the employer considers equivalent. Several years of experience with qualified communication and marketing work Experience with web publishing and work in CMS systems such as Sitevision and WordPress Experience working with social media and advertising in Ads Manager Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro Fluent Swedish, spoken and written Very good English proficiency, spoken and written B-level driver's license Meritorious for the Position Education/work with brand strategy Experience working in the public sector Personal Qualities We are looking for a communicator who readily takes own initiative, is self-driven, and achieves results. You have good collaboration skills, both through listening to others and taking personal responsibility in various contexts so that relationships work well. You have a curious and engaged communication style. You are skilled at grasping the essence of situations and thereby contributing with high-quality communication support to operations. As a person, you are organized and have an easy time creating order around you. About the Workplace The unit consists of three communicators and a communication manager who together coordinate and develop Karlshamn Municipality's communication and provide strategic and operative support to managers and employees. The unit is located in the Town Hall in Karlshamn.
