For the 2026-27 school year, we are looking for you who: - Hold a special education diploma in intellectual disabilities for adapted upper secondary education. - Are certified in the subjects entrepreneurship, service and customer interaction, information and communication, food and retail, hospitality, and facility management. Preferably also in physical education and health and English. - Are a highly engaged person who finds it easy to build strong relationships with both students and staff. - Are unpretentious, curious, solution-focused, have strong pedagogical abilities, and are driven by what can be achieved through collegial learning and shared ideas about teaching. - Put students at the center, are passionate about your work, and have a good sense of humor. The substitute position is for one year. The position is 60%. We conduct interviews continuously throughout the posting period. Väckstanäs Gymnasium is a non-profit, independent upper secondary school with residential facilities. The school is operated as a foundation with board members from Fredrika Bremer Association and the Housekeeping Association. The school is beautifully located in the middle of the triangle formed by Järna, Nykvarn, and Södertälje by Lake Vällingen. We have approximately 275 students in the Child and Recreation Program, leisure and health, Restaurant and Food Program, chef, baker/pastry chef, Natural Resource Program, gardening also with nature guide profile, and the Aesthetic Program with focus on image and design, textile design profile. We also offer Property and Construction and Hotel, Restaurant and Bakery at the adapted upper secondary school. Sustainability is important to us; we work purposefully with the environment, social climate, and finances. Among other things, we grow much of our own vegetables, we have a clear program to create context for both students and staff, we are members of the Ideological Schools National Association, etc. The school's geographical location means you will need your own car to get here and back home.
