Fågelsångens School (Preschool-9) The school is a Preschool-Grade 9 facility with approximately 425 students in regular school and 13 students in an adapted primary program. The school features bright, adapted classrooms and other facilities. Today, we have two afterschool program sections—one for younger children and one for older children. At Fågelsångens School, a competent and driven team of educators works with a solution-focused and collaborative approach. We have a strong culture of responsibility. The school is engaged in development work where collaboration is the foundation for everything we do. Our focus areas for the afterschool program are all-day learning (extended school day), recess activities, and practical-aesthetic activities. Job Responsibilities We have a staff member who is on parental leave, and therefore we are seeking a knowledgeable and engaged primary teacher with afterschool focus. In your work, you will plan, implement, and evaluate activities and recess programs. You will be part of a working team where we learn from each other, plan overall work, and solve challenges together. At Fågelsångens School, we have a well-functioning collaboration between school and afterschool programs, where all-day learning is one of our priority areas. Student support services and school leadership are available to assist in your work. Main Responsibilities Plan, implement, and evaluate activities. Collaborate with school staff in the school's development work. Participate in team meetings. Qualifications Adequate education is required for this position. As a person, you are responsive and have the ability to meet students with diverse needs. You are a clear leader in your interactions with students and interested in developing the work. You are also flexible, responsible, and solution-oriented. We expect you to be open-minded in meeting children and adults from different backgrounds and circumstances. Since we work in teams, your ability to collaborate and be adaptable is very important. Teacher certification or equivalent Experience working as a primary teacher/afterschool educator Employment Terms Extent: 100% Employment Type: Fixed-term employment for 6-12 months.
