The Sami Parliament is an elected Sami parliament and a state agency since 1993. The Sami Parliament's mission is to promote and develop a living Sami culture, participate in societal planning, and ensure that Sami needs are considered. The Sami Parliament is the administrative authority for Sami culture. We shall work to foster a living Sami culture, initiate activities, and propose measures that promote this culture. Duties Your responsibilities will include handling cultural grants, compiling statistics, and conducting financial follow-ups. You will also provide support to our cultural politicians in the form of meeting administration, presenting cases, and keeping minutes. As part of the position, you may work with various investigations within the cultural field, prepare materials, respond to consultation requests, and collaborate with various cultural actors and authorities. Other duties may occur. Travel is included in the work. Your Qualifications We are seeking someone with higher education in culture, economics, or another field that the employer finds relevant, or equivalent work experience. It is advantageous if you have previous experience with case and grant handling, administrative work, and financial follow-ups. You should be able to express yourself well in speech and writing. Basic knowledge of economics is desirable. Experience in public administration and politically governed activities as well as knowledge of Sami culture and cultural life, and knowledge of the Sami language, are also advantageous. Personal Qualities We are looking for a self-driven and organized person who is solution-oriented. You plan and organize your work efficiently. It is important that you are flexible, as we work with varying assignments. Employment Form Part-time 50%.
