Individual and Family Services is an operational area focused on providing good service and support to our citizens and handling authority functions. The Adult Unit handles cases involving financial assistance, substance abuse and addiction treatment, domestic violence, LSS case management, and social services case management under the Social Services Act (SoL). The Children and Youth Unit handles family law cases, foster care, support and treatment services, and family centers. The Social Services Group is located in Åmotfors. The group currently has three employees (one of whom has supervisory responsibilities for part of the position) who handle social services decisions under the Social Services Act (SoL). We offer a pleasant work team, good onboarding, and will do our best to help you settle in with us. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a Social Services Case Worker (SoL). The position involves investigating, assessing, and making decisions about services in accordance with current legislation. The work also includes following up on and reviewing previously made decisions. You will work independently within a group of knowledgeable, experienced case workers. The job duties also include collaboration not only with individual clients but also with family members and guardians/administrators. The work involves cooperation both within the group and with other professionals and partner organizations. There is close collaboration with home care planners and area managers within care and support services. QUALIFICATIONS • You must have a university degree from a social work program or social care program • You must be comfortable with the authority role and be well familiar with current legislation • You must demonstrate professional conduct, be thorough and action-oriented • You have good collaboration skills, are engaged, communicate well in speech and writing, are flexible, and can vary your work tasks according to the unit's and operation's needs Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. B-class driver's license is required. Employment type: Permanent position. Duration: Start date: 2026-09-07 or by agreement.
