About the Position We are seeking someone who wants to help develop and lead the Child and Youth Clinic in the future of healthcare. As Operations Director, your primary responsibility is to strategically lead the development of the clinic and have ultimate responsibility for personnel, finances, and work environment. In the role of Operations Director, you will combine strategic and operational elements, giving you significant opportunities to influence the clinic's forward development. Together with other operations directors in the region, you will work on overarching development assignments and report to the Division Director for the Specialist Division in the Health and Medical Care area. You are one of ten operations directors in the management group. You have first-line responsibility for 140 employees and personnel responsibility for the clinic's department heads. As a leader, you inspire and build trust, and you work to provide the clinic's staff with the conditions their assignments require—this requires structured collaboration in various processes and cooperation with other stakeholders. You have access to support functions connected to your operations and opportunities for personal development and participation in Region Blekinge's management program. You are also offered internal and external training within various areas of the clinic's operations. About You We are seeking someone with an appropriate academic degree for the field and experience working in healthcare operations, as well as leadership training. You have several years of leadership experience and preferably experience leading through other leaders. It is an asset if you have experience with: working in pediatric care operations development financial management and follow-up in complex operations driving and leading change initiatives process-oriented work management work in a politically governed organization You are a driven person who is passionate about pediatric care and sees the value of working with child and youth healthcare from a holistic perspective. As a leader, you are a natural ambassador for the clinic and represent the Child and Youth Clinic in a professional and engaged manner, both internally and externally. You collaborate easily and recognize the value of creating and maintaining good relationships. Strong sense of responsibility and the ability to handle complex issues at a fast pace from a holistic perspective drive and motivate you. We expect you to have excellent ability to express yourself in Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good computer skills. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Region Blekinge requires all permanent staff to undergo security clearance. About Us At the Child and Youth Clinic, we provide care within pediatric and adolescent medical specialties. We operate 24/7 for children and young people ages 0-18 who need the hospital's specialized care as well as day care. We have specialist clinics in Karlshamn and Karlskrona, where we also have an emergency clinic. Inpatient care is provided in Karlskrona at the child and youth ward. At the neonatal ward, we care for premature, sick, and newborn children. There is also a neonatal clinic and home care services here. The clinic also has play therapy, a hospital school, and a counselor. We have an established quality philosophy that includes Region Blekinge's values: Quality, Collaboration, and Commitment.
