The Social Services Department is responsible for services, support, and assistance to individuals and families in the municipality. Our operations are governed primarily by the Social Services Act, the LSS Act, and the Health and Medical Care Act, and must implement services regulated by these laws. All operations are centered on the individual to meet their needs. The assignment involves strong customer focus and service orientation. Shared personnel and scheduling management consists of three units: Scheduling and Planning, Temporary Staff and Recruitment, and Resources and Administration, which provide support to a large part of the Social Services Department. 10 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now looking for you who are interested in training to become a nursing assistant through an apprenticeship while employed as a care assistant. An opportunity for you who are currently working in another industry but interested in working within care and nursing, or for you who have experience in care and nursing work but lack formal education. You will be employed full-time and begin working as a care assistant within Motala Municipality at a unit within home care, special housing for the elderly, or in our pool organization. Depending on your previous experience, but no later than 9 months, you will begin studies as an apprentice nursing assistant within municipal adult education. You will continue to work as a care assistant but will be given time for studies during working hours equivalent to approximately 30%. The studies are estimated to take between 1 to 1.5 years, after which you will be a qualified nursing assistant. As a care assistant and nursing assistant in Motala Municipality, you will work to provide our service users with good care and nursing based on their individual needs and wishes. You will guide, support, and motivate the service user in a respectful manner to manage their daily routines in the best way possible based on their own abilities. We offer varied work focused on daily care activities. You will perform tasks related to personal care, meal support, social activities, accompaniment, service tasks, etc. You will also perform health and medical care tasks on delegation and document in our electronic patient record systems. As a qualified nursing assistant in the municipality, you will also be a primary contact person for care, which means you work actively to create safe and trust-based relationships. The work requires great commitment and your active participation to develop and improve operations. QUALIFICATIONS Formal Competencies: • You must be prepared to begin studies as a nursing assistant apprentice in service within approximately 9 months of working as a care assistant, or earlier depending on previous experience. • You must have a grade in Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language from compulsory school or basic Swedish as a Second Language from municipal adult education (completed subsection 4). • Experience using computers as a tool in work and you adapt easily to new digital tools. • Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish as the work involves documentation and extensive dialogue with colleagues and service users. • It is an advantage if you have previous experience with care and nursing-related tasks. • It is an advantage if you have a driver's license.
