Library operations are part of the Culture and Leisure Department, and together we work to promote reading, access to literature, and cultural activities throughout Svalövs Municipality. With a main library, four library branches distributed across the municipality, and an activity center, we strive to be open meeting places and function as cultural venues for all ages. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now seeking a development manager who wants to help drive our operations forward! As development manager for library operations, you will be responsible for library development and coordination of our library branches in consultation with the Culture and Leisure Manager. In addition to regular librarian duties, you will plan events and collaboration projects for the library, coordinate project applications, and serve as the primary contact for library matters both internally and externally. You will also support the Culture and Leisure Manager in resource planning of library operations, including schedule management, absence handling, and invoice management. Evening and weekend work may occur. The development manager is part of the Culture and Leisure Department's management and development group, where you collaborate with other development managers to promote cultural activities throughout Svalövs Municipality. When needed, you will also serve as a substitute for the Culture and Leisure Manager at external network meetings. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with solid experience in library operations who is ready to take on greater responsibility! You have at least a bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science, and further education is a merit. You have worked for a couple of years in municipal library operations and have a good understanding of libraries' broad and complex mission. We consider it a merit if you have completed some form of leadership training or have experience in leadership or project management from previous work. Since travel between our branches occurs, a valid driver's license is required. As a development manager, you are the Culture and Leisure Manager's right hand in library operations, and therefore it is important that you have a pedagogical and objective approach toward colleagues and other stakeholders. You have high integrity and stand with confidence behind decisions. With good structure and a holistic perspective, you provide advice and support in strategic decisions.
