We are now looking for an engaged, driven, and experienced development engineer for water and wastewater who wants to take responsibility and support the department in both strategic and operational issues related to the municipality's water and wastewater operations. If you have solid expertise in water and wastewater (wastewater, biogas, sludge, drinking water, stormwater) both technically and process-related, and are driven by research and development, this might be the role for us! We welcome your application. Your Role with Us This is a new position, which means there is an opportunity to help shape the role. The position is broad with focus across the entire water and wastewater area. Your responsibilities include supporting the department in developing materials for strategic and operational decisions. You drive development initiatives within the water and wastewater area with good monitoring of the external environment regarding new technology, research findings, legislation, and developments within the water and wastewater area. You will provide project support in various forms but also operational support in process-related matters and assistance in implementing new technology. You will help Kristianstad Water and Wastewater take the next step on our journey to drive and develop various research and development projects, preferably in collaboration with colleges/universities and other actors. We see that you work to strengthen the brand of water and wastewater in Kristianstad. Who Are We Looking For? You have an engineering education that the employer considers relevant for the work area. We want you to have many years of experience in water and wastewater, knowledge of wastewater technology and wastewater processes, biogas, sludge, drinking water, and stormwater. Experience in research and development is a merit, as is experience driving and project leading these. We would like to see that you also have experience in investigations within sustainable water and wastewater management in an urban environment. Of course, you handle the Office package as a natural part of your work. You have a category B driver's license to easily get around the municipality when needed. Your personality is very important to us, which means you are a team player who can also inspire others. As a person, you are driven, independent, and conscientious. You have good analytical abilities and can translate theory and research results into practical application in our operations. You are service-oriented and have good communication skills and work well both internally and externally. The work involves many social contact points, which requires that you can express yourself well both verbally and in writing.
