The Swedish Prison and Probation Service (SiS) is a government agency responsible for individualized compulsory care for youth with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and facilities for adults with substance abuse throughout the country. Job Description Do you have experience in investigative work? Are you analytical and quality-conscious? Do you want to use your curiosity to investigate, analyze, and formulate conclusions in writing in a pedagogical manner? Then you may be the investigator we are now seeking for SiS youth care. You will be part of a team with colleagues located at several locations throughout the country. As an investigator in the youth care department, you are responsible for working with your colleagues on the unit's delegated tasks. This includes, among other things, handling and processing within the following areas: work within systematic quality efforts, primarily in the form of investigating lex Sarah cases and to some extent complaints managing statements and decisions from authorities performing external supervision, mainly the Inspection Board for Health and Social Care participating in other assignments and investigations that may have both significant and broad complexity handling referrals and referral responses as well as other matters/tasks related to the unit's delegated responsibilities You work both independently and together with colleagues at the unit and with staff at our youth homes and other departments at headquarters. As an investigator, you participate in various types of meetings as needed. The work involves prioritizing urgent assignments. Travel for work is included as our youth homes are located throughout the country. Qualifications We are seeking someone with: an academic degree in behavioral science, social work, law, or another academic degree that SiS deems equivalent several years of experience in relevant, qualified investigative work experience in systematic quality efforts good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish It is advantageous if you also have: experience investigating lex Sarah cases experience from public administration and familiarity with common administrative procedures knowledge and/or experience working with compulsory care Driver's license category B To succeed in this role, you must be able to work both independently and in a group. We see that you are thorough and structured and work to prioritize and complete your assignments efficiently. Furthermore, you need good judgment and the ability to take significant personal responsibility and drive your work forward.
