The department has four degree programs: bachelor's program in investigation criminology, bachelor's program in social work with a focus on international social work, social work program (socionom), and master's program in social work. A master's program in criminology is currently being developed. In addition, there are independent courses and commissioned education. Current doctoral education in social work is offered with a focus on health-promoting working life. One goal for the social work subject group is to have its own exclusive examination right within social work. The Department of Social Work, Criminology and Public Health is now seeking a temporary university lecturer in social work; a temporary position of 1 year with the possibility of extension. Job Responsibilities The job responsibilities consist of teaching, supervision, examination, and course responsibility primarily within the social work program and the subject of social work, but may also be within other educational offerings in related subject areas, in both Swedish and English. Teaching takes place at basic and advanced levels and is conducted both on campus and at a distance. The position also includes participation in the department's and subject's development work as well as administrative work, collaboration, and internationalization. Research may be included during the professional development period if the activities allow it, or alternatively by obtaining external funding. Work location is Gävle. Qualifications The position requires a doctoral degree in social work and a social work degree (socionom). Furthermore, documented pedagogical competence is required, see the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100) and Employment Regulations at University of Gävle. The applicant must, given the nature of the position and its responsibilities, demonstrate good ability to express themselves in speech and writing in Swedish and English. The applicant must have completed higher education pedagogy training equivalent to at least ten weeks of full-time studies or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge.
