We at Norlandia Elderly Care are looking for you—a nursing assistant/healthcare aide—who would like to work full-time/part-time during all or part of the summer at Kvarnåsen elderly care facility in Årjäng. As a nursing assistant/healthcare aide, you are a valuable key player who contributes to ensuring that our residents have a safe and meaningful life in their later years. As a nursing assistant/healthcare aide, you are responsible for providing dignified and quality care based on the individual needs of the elderly. Common work tasks may include assistance with personal hygiene, medication administration, documentation, support with activities, meal service, and light cleaning in residents' apartments and laundry of personal clothing. You will get to participate in everything from educational care moments to enjoyable activities with the residents. We also have close collaboration with nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. A very exciting job indeed! KVARNÅSEN ELDERLY CARE FACILITY Is located in Årjäng municipality in Värmland county, near the Norwegian border. Kvarnåsen is centrally located in the community, close to the bus stop, and we are only 120 km from Oslo. Årjäng offers rich nature with several lakes and beautiful nature reserves with hiking trails. Kvarnåsen has 92 apartments distributed across nine units. We offer dementia housing, psychogeriatric housing, and somatic housing. Each unit has a kitchen, dining room/living room, and access to outdoor spaces. In Pelarsalen there is a meeting place where our activity coordinators organize activities based on resident wishes. Here we celebrate birthdays, traditions, and arrange various festivities—all so that seniors experience Good Life—every day. Meals are prepared by cooks in the municipal restaurant kitchen located in the building. Our focus areas are Health, Food, and Community. Who are we looking for? We are looking for you with a big heart and a desire to make a difference. We would like you to enjoy working with people and have a strong sense of service. Additionally, you should be easy to collaborate with and have the ability to be flexible and attentive when needed. It is meriting if you have nursing assistant training (or equivalent training) of at least 1350 points. It is highly meriting if you have previous experience within elderly care. It is required that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We would like you to have good computer skills/computer experience and experience with documentation. Other Information Employment type: Summer substitute Scope: Full-time, part-time, or hourly employment Start date: June, July, and August 2026 We apply individual salary setting and have a collective agreement. Interviews take place on an ongoing basis and the position may be filled before the final application deadline. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
