About Gruvan Gruvan is a historic post office with character located in central Karlstad, next to the Cathedral. The residence has three floors with 11 apartments on each floor. We have a lovely roof terrace that we enjoy using when the weather permits. We are a dementia-certified residence, which means that everyone working here is trained in dementia care and person-centered approaches through Vardaga's Dementia Academy. We use a basic schedule based on the residents' needs. The schedule rotates in 4-week cycles. We have a partnership with the company Ung Omsorg. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visit us on weekends and during holidays. Ung Omsorg organizes various activities to add extra joy to our residents' lives. You have a team leader who spends most of their time working close to you in the operations. Becoming a team leader can also be a career opportunity for you as a nursing assistant. We constantly work to organize new and exciting activities for our residents. At Gruvan, we have an activity coordinator employed who manages daily activities. As a nursing assistant, you are extremely important! Your role is to provide quality of life. With your help, our residents can maintain their lifestyle and habits. You see each person and interpret what they need. At the same time, you'll learn a lot about care, aging, and how to interact with people. You also participate in care planning and document social records. Your experience and qualifications We'd like you to be a trained nursing assistant with several years of experience in elderly care. Good computer skills and documentation experience are also advantageous. Good Swedish language skills in speech and writing are a requirement, but otherwise, your CV isn't the most important thing.
