About You We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant with several years of work experience. Experience working in healthcare or acute care is advantageous but not required. The work is sometimes demanding and requires stress resilience and prioritization skills. You can take initiative to solve and manage situations that arise. As a person, you are secure, stable, and have good self-awareness. You conduct yourself professionally in all situations and treat patients, colleagues, and partners with humility and respect. You are engaged in wanting to develop and improve and have a positive attitude that contributes to a good work environment. We place great importance on personal suitability. Your Future Workplace The Acute Care Clinic at Länssjukhuset in Kalmar provides 24-hour acute care to both people who seek out the emergency department on their own and those who arrive by ambulance. We collaborate with most clinics at the hospital, ambulance services, police, corrections, social services, other hospitals, and home healthcare in nearby municipalities. Our clinic consists of two parts; Emergency Department: In the emergency department, we work in teams consisting of doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants, transporters, with administrative support from medical secretaries and office staff. You participate in the assessment, treatment, and care of people who seek the acute care clinic. The triage area is also located here, which is the first contact with patients. We work with triage according to Retts protocol to handle patients at the appropriate care level and in a timely manner. Acute Care Ward AVA: is a hospital-wide resource with 14 beds. It is a 24-hour ward where we evaluate and treat patients who need continued observation and/or short-term care for a maximum of 24 hours. We work closely with the geriatric advisory team located at the acute care clinic. Länssjukhuset in Kalmar is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County. The hospital is an acute hospital with specialist care, maternity services, and postpartum care. Over 2,300 people work here to provide good care and high patient safety to the county's residents.
